Staying in is the new going out!

Do you live in Flakefleet in Fleetwood or Hawes Side in Blackpool?

Ever feel like you’re too strapped for a get together with friends? Too old for a new adventure? Or too tired to try something different?

What if you could share your skills or try something new from the comfort of your own couch and you wouldn’t have to pay a penny?

LeftCoast’s Welcome Collective are firm believers that a quiet night in doesn’t have to be boring or lonely. We are offering the residents of Flakefleet and Hawes Side the chance to swap the boxset for an evening of exploration in your own home for free. We can help you welcome five of your friends to your home to learn something new or share a skill and have some fun along the way. It can be absolutely anything!

Perhaps you’ve always wanted to learn a new creative skill, but don’t know where to start? Maybe you’d love to learn some basic carpentry to get those shelves finally on the wall? Do you have an aptitude for plastering walls but don’t know who to pass your knowledge on to? Can you cook a cracking curry or do feed your family on a tight budget and want to share your secrets? Or have you spent years keeping your genius on the guitar behind closed doors, but secretly dream of playing to an audience?

All and any ideas are welcome, from a comedian in your lounge to a sparky showing you how to wire a plug.

INTERESTED?

We will:

  • Cover event costs (fees, materials and refreshments)
  • Help you to organise things, from booking a professional, to sending out invitations

We only ask that you invite 5 friends along.

So what’s the catch? No catch, we are starting to work in your areas and we’d like to learn more about what you’d like to do, see and take part in. We want to discover what it means to be welcomed into your community and in the future we hope to work with you to have a positive impact where you live.

All we need you to do is get in touch with your full name, phone number and postcode and tell us the following:

What type of event you would like to hold and why you would like to try this out? Or Why would you like to share this skill?
