FREE HOLIDAY FABULOUSLY FUN ARTISTIC ADVENTURES COME TO THE MOUNT PAVILION

The Mount Pavilion is set to host another great selection of free holiday creative activities for children and families this summer courtesy of LeftCoast. The programme has been specially created to delight and excite with everything from Mosaic Panel Making to Urban Street Dance and everything in between.

The programme kicks off on Thursday 4 August and Friday 5 August 1-4pm (each day has two 75 minute sessions at 1pm and 2.30pm) with artist Sarah Hicks with two days of Alice in Wonderland themed craft activities. Children can experience the Mount being transformed into the magical world of the rabbit hole, full of larger than life characters whilst enjoying a Mad Hatters Tea Party. Suitable for ages 3 years+

Skool of Street is the order of the day on Friday 12 August 1-4pm (two 75 minute sessions at 1pm and 2.30pm)with their ever popular dance workshops teaching all things urban. If you’re into hip hop dance, urban theatre or drama, this is the workshop for you! Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Shane Johnstone takes over The Mount on Friday 19 August 1-4pm (two 75 minute sessions at 1pm and 2.30pm) with an introduction to the ancient craft of mosaic using vitreous glass tiles, modern grid techniques and a huge range of colours.  Create your own mosaic panel that you can install anywhere. You could make a timeless artwork that could last for a thousand years. Suitable for ages 5 years+

Crazy Cardboard Creatures will take over on Thursday 25 August 1-4pm (two 75 minute sessions at 1pm and 2.30pm) with artist Tina Dempsey showing you how to create your own crazy cardboard creatures! There are lots of different materials to experiment with so come and have a go. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

To end this summer’s FREE creative activities, Tina Dempsey will also be hosting a creative Wool Weaving Workshop on Friday 26 August 1-4pm (two 75 minute sessions at 1pm and 2.30pm). All the materials are provided so just turn up and enjoy. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Due ot health and saftey reasons the sessions are on a first come first come basis so get there as soon as possible in order to secure a place
