Fleetwood Festival of Transport has received a ringing endorsement and investment from Arts Council England to further develop their arts programme SpareParts.
The festival, which attracts around sixty thousand people into the town, will take place on Sunday 17 July and will this year see performances taking place within Memorial Park and in the town centre streets. There will also be a new emphasis on community involvement in the SpareParts Art Parade in the afternoon which is already a firm favourite with audiences.
As part of the investment there will be a new Festival Director recruited who will have responsibility for developing the artistic programme alongside the Fleetwood Festival of Transport committee and the partners.
