More about LeftCoast
‘Creative People and Places’ is about more people choosing, creating and taking part in brilliant art experiences in the places where they live. Funded by Arts Council England, there are 21 independent projects based in areas where there are fewer opportunities to get involved with the arts.
We create and co-commission a wide range of arts programmes from large-scale spectacle to smaller, bespoke projects in our neighbourhood communities. We also facilitate the professional development of locally based artists and the wider creative sector.
LeftCoast supports all the people involved in our projects to develop a greater sense of well-being and connectivity to the places that they live in. We work with individuals, organisations and whole communities to bring about positive change and improve the quality of life in local areas.

More about Art B&B
Additionally, within this role there is the opportunity to procure, commission and manage selected artist commissions for both LeftCoast and A B&B, capitalising on the professional development opportunities (artist talks, work shadowing, local making etc.) that this process will create.
A B&B (The Art Bed and Breakfast) is a culture-focussed community business that is reimagining the nature and purpose of B&B’s in Blackpool for the 21st Century. This will be achieved through commissioning artists to design and change the hotel rooms, communal spaces and certain aspects of its operations. All profits from the A B&B offer will be put back into developing creative opportunities, training and facilities for the communities of the Fylde Coast.
Its aim is to attract new visitors through a creative approach and develop a sustainable economy in order to re-invest in our communities’ creative and cultural futures for the long term.
